When to administer?
Red colour pigments are only absorbed during the active growth of new feathers. The ideal moment to start is therefore at the beginning of the moult, as the new feathers grow in. Once a feather is fully grown, no additional pigment can be incorporated.
Give PUUR Red throughout the entire moult for an optimal result in the next plumage.
For species where the colour of legs and beak also matters, such as red factor canaries or some parakeets, administration throughout the year can be worthwhile.
Usage
Dosage: 1 g/kg feed
Mix through the feed or sprinkle over the seed.
